    Dark Taverns is an open-world MMORPG set in a unique fantasy world filled with hidden secrets and magic.     Server Details:

    For enabling multiplayer services, we use Atavism as a backend solution. Atavism is a game development toolkit that allows game developers to create multiplayer online games with RPG (role-playing game) elements such as character creation, NPC interaction, and inventory management. It is a Unity3D-based engine that provides a wide range of features such as server-side logic, client-side logic, and tools for creating 3D and 2D games.

     

    Minting & Blockchain Details:

    Players will be minting Taverns on Eth L1. These Taverns come with a Cast Key and will be minted on Immutable X which unlocks additional items such as Mounts, Wings, and Weapons also minted on Immutable X post-reveal.

    As a developer, my part was to handle MMO server based funtionality and player basic combat system to ensure apealing behaviour. I regret that I was not able to allocate more time to the development of the game but the experience of oprating with international team, meeting and standups was outstanding.
